How do we react to hardship???

When troubles engulf us, we plead with God for relief from suffering, for healing of disease, for comfort, for strength, and for the supply of our needs. Such petitions are certainly legitimate, and we should bring them to the Father. We may or may not get the answers to all our prayers straight away.

But the big question that is posed today in front of each one of us is that “Do we remain thankful to God in all situations of life no matter what happens to us? We better ask this question to ourselves.

But the plain fact reminds us here is that most often we are not. As long as we see the sunshine around us, we offer our sacrifice of praises and thanks to God and rejoice in His good mercies. But when we see the sun goes down and darkness shed its shadows around us, the rejoicing often becomes a matter of questioning the sovereignty of the almighty God.

Here, I would like to take you back to the city of Philippi in Macedonia to know what had happened to Paul& Silas when they were camping in the city. Both of them had been falsely accused, stripped and beaten with rods and were thrown into prison. They were put up in the inner most cell and their feet were fastened in the stocks.

Do you remember what they did from the depths of a jail cell at midnight?

They were praying and singing hymns to the God and other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.

Dear friends, this is what the power of praise can do in the most adverse situation. When we acknowledge God's great mercies, we are able to offer Him praise--even in pain. Heavens are waiting for your voice to be heard to set you free today.

May the spirit of God touch each one of you as you read through this and lead you into all understanding. Amen!
