What is success for you?

People have been striving for success all along their life, and tn the process many achieve Success but others are not so fortunate. The meaning of success comes in many forms and has many definition depends on what you are searching for in life.

 

But, does the success achieved by successful people around the world is of the same kind?

 

If we start narrowing down the understanding of success going by the explanation of succesful people , three kinds of success would come to the fore.

 

Let's explore it briefly

 

1. Success as per your own understanding - Self doctrine

This is the kind of success in which you achieve what you have determined to and accomplish it following your own planned method. Here you give importance to your own opinion about success.

2. Success as per what others think - Social dogma

This is the kind of success in which you achieve everything which according to people is success. Here you give importance to others views about success.

 

According to social dogma, man believes that success means having luxurious bunglows and cars, plush office, high-flying job , awards, rewards and rich friends without which life is a failure. This belief of success stems from man's tendency to give importance to other's opinion because he longs for praise and appreciation from them. By his natural tendency to imitate others and wants to become what he sees, often man bring upon himself the feelings of misery, failure, insult & defame, etc. instead of success. Many suicides too are a direct fallout of such social dogma.

 

3. Success as per God's will - Divine plan

This is a kind of success in which you achieve success by following the divine plan which God has laid out for you. Achieving success by following the divine plan of God gives you complete satisfaction and fulfilment. This is the success for which you are born on earth. It is the very purpose of your life. Here you give importance to God's wish.

 

Wanting to be successful is wanting to be complete. Achieving success in accordance to God's wish alone can lead you to real success and give you sense of completeness.

 

God has declared His plan for you in Jeremiah 29:11 " For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

 

The road to real success belongs to God. Where do you stand?
